- I am interested in the Martin Yale 7200 for 1200 newsletters every 3 months.
My question is "sheet capacity -3" Our newsleters are up to 6-10 folded in half (like a booklet) and stapled sheets. Will this folder take this kind of load? - Unfortunately a machine that folds more than 5 pages at a time is really not available. If there is a folder out there that does do that many, they will be quite expensive.
Really, folders are a bit of a sensitive piece of equipment. In my opinion, they can be finicky and difficult when asked to do more than simple folds. This is much more evident in the smaller to medium duty machines, and my best advice to you, unless you do plan on spending upwards of $4-5K, fold your 6 to 10 pages individually and then collate and staple.
The best machines to do a simple fold would be the 7200 or the 7400 either one will do a simple half fold and when only doing one at a time, they are fast and reliable. (link below) In my experience, it seems that the 7400 is a better machine and most customers prefer it to the 7200, it also seems to be a little bit more reliable. When any of the Sub $2000 folders are asked to do multiple sheet bypasses, they can get fussy and stop folding correctly.
